I gave Boston Quality Movers a very short notice of my need to move. They were very attentive to my needs. On the day of the move, the movers showed up right on time and got right to work. My entire apartment was loaded into the truck in 45 minutes, and they paid attention to every detail, wrapping my furniture as needed, handling my breakable and expensive items with care as if it were their own. They drove non-stop from Boston to my new home in NYC, and were just as efficient unloading the truck as they were unloading. I would use them again any time I needed to move, they three men they sent me were fantastic !

Pros: very attentive to my needs, treated my belongings as if they were their own

Pros: (1) The guy that answers might phone call was quite patient and seemed to be professional. Called on Friday to schedule a move on the next day and the response was quite promptly. (2) Movers are quick and efficient Cons: (1) When I called them the first time we agreed to have the movers come by 3 pm but then after I paid the deposit (telling them the credit card #) and faxed back the signed service order form, they sent another one via email that changed the original 2-hour arrival window to a four-hour one, and starting from 3 PM ~ 6 PM. Later I found out they got a bigger order of the same day and they just postponed mine without calling me. They ended up arrived at almost 6 PM. (2) During our first phone call they agreed to waive the floor charge, but the movers tried to charge it. I told the movers we had a deal and they seemed to be unaware of it. Later they charged almost two hours for back trip but it would take them only one hour to go back. When I pointed out that my original payment already included the back trip hours, they said the original fee was “miscalculated”.

Cons: Hidden fees; fail to notify delay. No contact on Saturdays.

I called the office to ask a question and thank them for the service so they asked me to write a review saying many happy customers call to thank them and the few unhappy write negative reviews on line ,so here it goes: I inquired about a residential interstate move to CA and the next day I had someone over at my place for a visual estimate, he then showed me all calculation on his computer and suggested a few saving tips. I waited for two more quotes but knew I will end up with them, they showed professional costumer care and prepared for it like it was an army quest. they arranged the parking permits, and showed up on time. they started with misc packing and moved to furniture wrapping and carrying all outside to their trucks. all along they were polite and easy to talk to, the items arrived after 9 days to LA with one minor damage to an old cheap furniture that i was doubtful about surviving the trip. in any case they compensated me and deduct it from the total balance. I would highly recommend to use their service. K.

I just wanted to leave a positive review,thank to Steve I was able to get in to my place on time after the company i reserved a move with did not show up,the move was quick and efficient and they even helped me to pack a few things I didn't get into after having to deal with the cancellation. Boston quality movers were polite and clean,they helped me with this overwhelming process and didn't use me,knowing my situation and the fact I was stuck with no movers and a need to move immediately...

Hey Boston quality movers, just wanted to thank you for the service on Friday. it was quick efficient and as described over the phone. my most valuable pieces made it to the new safely. Alex did a great job with the packing and i learned a few new things... I will be forwarding your name to my friends who are looking to move,again thank you for the service.

I tend to move almost two years for my job, though my employers are usually the one to pay and choose the higher end companies in the industry I always find myself in that unpleasant situation, broken items, missing boxes and rude costumer care that leave me with the same answer-it is not our fault. This time, My current employer (who’s been working with Boston Quality movers in the past) arranged a move for me including hoisting, piano care and full packing service. I was a bit worried to have the same experience as always but was surprised to have an experienced Forman, who made it look so simple and professional. They worked all day and followed my crazy requests, at the end of the day I almost cried out of excitement, I called their office and specially thanked the guy who coordinated the crew for me. I read some negative reviews here and don’t really understand who did people ended up unhappy, Highly recommended service- trust someone who moves a lot. Lisa.

I've had a number of bad experiences prior to working with this company. They did the work well, charged very close to the estimate and did not leave a bad taste in my mouth. Also the sales dept is very easy do deal with. nuff said.

As I was looking for a moving service on Google for a last minute move to Florida I learned about Boston quality movers. I bought my new place and had to plan a move only a week before I had to give away my rental. The service was professional and helpful from the first phone call, the lady with the moving company sent someone over for the next day, he then gave me a binding estimate, explained about things I was not aware of and gave me a few tips about how to save on the moving cost ,their estimate came up pretty close as I wanted them to pack some things I didn’t know how to wrap as well , that for itself was pa pleasant experience. Over all, nice clean and polite movers, great support service and a price that worth the treat. Will be using them for sure in the future if I have to move. make sure to get in home estimate, it really made the deference for me.+++++ rick.

At least ten reasons why not to employ Boston Q Movers 1) First don’t be surprised if you hear them say to you "You are so unlucky that the place you are moving nobody else is moving, so unfortunately will cost you more money and time”. 2) Will find tons of reasons to increase the price when they pick up your furniture, even if they went to your house the evaluate and create the list! 3) Will break things inside your house! 4)Your furniture will arrive damage for sure! 5)Your boxes will be half of the size when they arrive at the final destination...meaning boxes are CRUSHED!! 6) If they say 15 days means 1 month. No kidding!! 7) The moving company that delivers (not the same of course) will have a different price from the price you were originally quoted and will not even open the truck if you don't pay in cash and in advance. Let’s resume the price thing: When they come to pick up the price plus 30% what they said to you in the first contact. When they deliver add more 30%. The company that deliver to you will not know why because wasn't them that you made the original contract. They tell you to contact the Boston movers company. If you are very patient and after a while can reach them they will tell you they calculate wrong the weight, will ask you to call the complain service for refund. AHAHAHAHAH . 8) The refund is another joke. Don't feel offended if you slept on the floor for 40 days, your furniture is broke and your boxes are half of the size and you pay 30% more that you were quoted. 9 ) When you want to contract them they are very reachable, after they pick up your money and furniture, maybe is easier to talk to President . 10) Which furniture do you think they will break? Off course the most family valuable one.

OK, do yourself a HUGE favor and don't even think about hiring these guys. They seem like the real deal when they send out the "Relocation Consultant" out to your home. HE is supposed to make a quote based on his observations you home's inventory..HA! Somehow he convienly missed some BIG items so when the movers came we were charged additional $$. The movers had trouble getting furniture out of the house and needed a few "tips" on how to navigate down the stairs.....The move arrived to 2 my new home many days late in a unmarked van...Again the an EXTRA fee because mover in Boston "did bad math" and forgot to add some fees! Everything was crammed in the truck soooo tight. I don't think an ant could have moved thru the van. Really sad that they can call this Quality service..what a joke! I was and still am horrified at this horrible job performance. They done even deserve 1 star....
