I am 50 and am finally having difficulty reading. I went to "For Eyes" for my exam. Dr. Curtis Frank took care of me with his assistants. I believe that they did a very through exam of my eyes. He asked good questions about my difficulties, checked everything thoroughly and explained everything that he did at each step so that I understood (in layman's terms). They were all quick and efficient and on time. He and his assistant had excellent interpersonal skills and the offices were clean and neat. Everyone from the front office staff to the exam and fitting were attentive and eager to make sure that I understood what was happening. They even helped me select my first pair of glasses (there are so many)! I was very pleased with my service at For Eyes at 155 Federal St. near Boston's Financial District. I will be back again.

Pros: Quick trip in Boston's South end or the Financial District. Clean, thorough, timely, pleasant, and everything was explained.

Cons: None that I could note.

Dr. Frank is the best! I We wouldn't go to anyone else. He is warm, funny and personable. Most importantly he is an excellent Doctor. He is very thorough. He makes you feel comfortable and takes the time to answer all your questions. Like I said, he's the best!

Pros: Great location. Awesome selection of frames. Very nice office. Wonderful staff.

Cons: None-except maybe parking.

Let's face it -- getting an eye exam once a year is up there with having your license renewed and doing your taxes -- it's a regular chore that's, well, a chore. Dr. Frank makes it more of a visit to an old friend. He's got an incredible personable manner and a great way of making you happy to see him. I have been going to him for almost 15 years. I go out of my way to get to him, regardless of where my work takes me. He's great. He also cares deeply about all aspects of eye health and does not chastise me for the transgressions that I take with my contacts (lateness on exams, less than perfect contact regimens etc.) He's a best-kept secret.

Dr. Frank was recommended to me nearly 20 years ago. From the very start, he has been thorough, accommodating, responsive, professional and personable. I've remained his patient based upon these traits as well as having a solid sense of trust in him. My only complaint is that he has not prevented my growing older and needing reading glasses! Dr. Frank, with good humor, has convinced me I'm not 20 anymore :) I recommend him highly.

I have seen many eye doctors in the Boston area, and Dr. Frank is by far the best one I have been to. His eye exams are very thorough and he takes his time to understand your vision problems and answer all types of questions. You never feel like you are being rushed out the door for the next patient. I first went to Dr. Frank for convenience, because he was attached to the For Eyes by work. I was a bit skeptical at first because I have had some bad experiences with eye doctors attached to glasses stores. But within minutes I knew that I made the right choice! I have been going to Dr. Frank for almost 4 years now, and he has consistently met or exceeded my expectations! I Highly Recommend Dr. Frank!

Pros: Easy to get appointment, thorough exams, never feel rushed, great location

I was recommended to Dr. Frank by a coworker, and just wanted to share my great expereince with him and For Eyes Optical. The eye exam was thorough and Dr. Frank was a pleasure. After the eye exam I was helped by the manager of For Eyes who sold me a great pair of glasses. I got a great deal on some designer frames, and the lenses were included in the cost! I would recommend this Optometrist and For Eyes Optical to everyone!
