Words cannot say enough about this place. From the moment you walk in the front door you feel like a true celebrity. The staff is so attentive and upbeat and can't do enough for you. There are so many places to choose from on Newbury Street but I will have to tell you this place far exceeds any place I have ever been to and trust me I've tried them all!!! A nice touch was that the owner was there to meet and greet you when you arrive (something missing in so many spas!!!) If you haven't checked this place out, then you are truly missing out on a wonderful experience. The one thing wrong with this place is that there isn't more of them!!!!!

Pros: Great Staff, Great Decor, Great Atmosphere, Clean

I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that my birthday gift from my sweetie was a full day of spa services. It's been FIVE years since I last visited a spa and was tickled to discover all that MelT had in store for me. I was greeted at the door by Melanie (the owner) and delighted to find out that they use natural products (I am a bit on the "organic" side). Once the "surprise" factor wore off a bit (I had NO idea where we were headed off to when we got into the car), I was truly impressed by the cleaniness & decor of the salon. Given that it was 9am in the morning, I thought I would have to wait! NO WAY!!!! It felt like the whole staff was waiting for ME! Oumie had the pedicure seat all ready for my arrival and she was so warm & friendly! But wait, the wonderful service didn't stop there! I was offered a mimosa and freshly-baked muffins. Oh my! So, after my delicious drink and fantastic pedicure, I was then gently ushered into the manicure room. Wonders never cease! The whole staff were genuinely welcoming and warm. They saw that my sweetie had booked several services for my birthday (including a gourmet LUNCH) and I couldn't have been happier! This was the best birthday gift ever!!!!! I literally was there for more than 3 hours!!!!! What makes MelT different than all the other salons on Newbury Street is their attention to detail! The inspirational and comforting writings on the walls were a nice touch. As soon as you walk in the door, you know you are in for true pampering. The best part was given that I had been there all day and my lunch was delayed, they offered lunch for my sweetie TOO! So, we were able to dine together after my last service (custom massage). I have to highly recommend this Spa to anyone who wants a genuine place to pamper themselves. Trust me, the prices are definitely worth it and the location couldn't be better! Access to the subway is quite nice! I was so impressed, I went back the next week!

Pros: Peaceful Ambience, Customized Services, Clean Environment, Access to the T

Cons: A bit pricey if you aren't accustomed to this level of service yet WORTH every penny!

From start to finish, the service at MELT is impeccable. I ahve been trying to get a particular color of highlight for years and have never been satisfied with what I look like when I go home. When I went to Yasmin, MELT's Master Colorist and Stylist, I gave up on trying to attain my idealized olor and just told her to do what she thought would look good on me...lo and behold it was EXACTLY what I have been trying to get for YEARS. I went six months without having to get it colored or cut again and after six months went back only to be just as satisfied as I was the first time around. I can't recommend Yasmin services any more highly...for everyday hair or special occasion...she even does couture individualized hair extensions! A must visit...

The PERFECT newbury st salon and spa!! The kind and upbeat staff make you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door! With Champagne and chocolate covered strawberrys offered to us the minute we walked in I knew this spa was exactly what I was looking for. I came here with my mother for a mothers day treat and she was treated like royalty! We had her hair done by Yasmin and she gave her a full blown hair makeover -- she walked out of there like a new woman -- looking at least 10 years younger! You can't pass up the talent of Yasmin and the adorable spa of MELT, a true treasure in Boston!!

Pros: Great Value, Incrediable Talent, WARM and INVITING Salon and SPA!

As anyone who knows Newbury St. well, knows there are a lot of salons ans spas to choose from; but one that stood out for me about eight months ago, and still shines, is MELT Salon and Spa. Located on the second floor of one of Newbury's charming brownstones, from the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by the always pleasant and accommodating manager Sheila (note: she is also a stellar makeup artist), you feel as if you are miles away from the bustling streets and any stress that city life brings. My initial visit to Melt was to see hair stylist Yasmin, who I have been a follower of for years. Yasmin is about as talented as they come: innovative, but classic, always precise and a color whiz! I have been known to bounce back and forth between various hair shades of chocolate browns, to caramel and butter highlights, to adding a few pink extensions to vibrant reds all over and every time gets the tones right, and I leave the salon with fabulous hair. She is a true artist, and just gets it. Although the majority of my visits to Melt are spent happily in Yasmin's chair, I would recommend ANY service Melt has to offer, as owner Mel T. has put her heart and soul in creating a wonderful spa with top-notch staff just as passionate as she is, that use some of the best product lines on the market...and you will love the complimentary glass of champagne, or a warm, soothing beverage that fits the overall mood of this outstanding spa and salon.

Pros: Stellar customer service and one of the best salons on Newbury Street.

Cons: There isn't enough time in the day to enjoy all the wondferful things Melt has to offer.

This place is above and beyond any other spa I've been to. You are treated like a celebrity from the second you walk through the door. They offer so many different types of services. I had the hot stone massage and it was incredible. I will be going back to melt all the time.

I just have to write and say what a lovely experience I had at this salon. From the moment you walk through the doors the staff make you feel like a VIP!! I had a spa day with 8 of my girlfriends and can honestly say this the the only place in Boston to go if you want the whole package. I can't wait to go back!!! The staff never make you feel rushed and are always making sure you have what you need. The owner of the salon made it a point to introduce herself to everyone and thank them for coming which I thought was classy. MELT definetly has my vote for BEST OF BOSTON!!!

I have to admit I am not a spa guy at all. I was nervous about going in for a massage but it turned out to be the best decision. The place was clean and the staff was so profesional. I would reccomend this spa to anyone, guy or girl for any service. I will be back to melt real soon, and i even bought a gift certificate for my girlfriend.

I absolutely love this place. I was looking for a great spa package and melt had it covered. I got the best facial I have ever had. I was so impressed with the spa services I am going back to have my hair done. The place is clean and the staff is great, they are very professional. I'm even going to recommend melt to my girlfriend who is looking for a bridal package, and I cant wait to go back. If you havent already been to melt, what are you waiting for.
