Massage by Erik

My back starting hurting me shortly after I delivered my second child. I had been going to a physical therapist, who recommended I also try massage therapy. A brief search for the right therapist lead me to Erik--he came highly recommended by 2 of my friends. Initially, I was hesitant to see a male therapist, but after one appointment, I was hooked! Over the years, I have had many massages, mostly at fancy spas. Erik is by far the best massage therapist I have ever been to! He is extremely professional, medically oriented, and very talented . When I booked my first appointment, I intended to see him once or twice a year, but after a one-hour session I purchased a 10-session package. I decided that having a healthy back is worth the investment. Go Erik!

For many years I have experienced lower muscle back pain. I started seeing Erik about 6 months ago, after my wife (and doctor) suggested I try massage therapy; my back has felt great ever since. I appreciate that Erik approaches massage as medical treatment. He seems clearly invested in my health outcomes.

I just had a wonderful experience receiving a treatment by Erik. He's an experienced therapist who seems passionate about his work. I felt the treatment was thorough and effective. His office space is beautiful, relaxing and welcoming. His hands are warm and he has a confident touch. My neck and shoulders are grateful and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a professional massage.

Hello, I would like to take a minute to tell you about my experience with Massage By Erik if I could. Some years ago I suffered a painful shoulder injury that left me w/ a nagging creak in that joint. I thought that massage therapy might help, so I made an appointment w/ Massage By Erik, as he came recommended by a friend. I had never received massage therapy before, but I can tell you that Erik did a great job. He got rid of that annoying creak, and I have yet to be bothered by it again. I gave Massage By Erik five stars on account of his expertise and genuinely pleasant demeanor. I would unhesitatingly recommend his services to anyone in need of a reliable massage therapist. -Robert W.

My massage experiences with Erik have been very well-worth the investment. His office was clean and quiet, and it always provides me with a place where I can go not only to get a top-quality massage and body-work, but a place to truly relax and 'get away' from all of the noises and stresses of life for 60 minutes. Erik's style is thorough and he truly listens to what I feel I need and makes suggestions based upon his extensive knowledge. I have recommended him to several people since I started getting massages and I will continue to do so. The reality is: everyone can benefit from having some form of massage or bodywork done. Erik is one of the best in the area. - Martin

Pros: Very quiet location. Nice background music and comfortable massage table in the room.

Cons: My massages go by too quickly!

I have experienced a few massage therapists over the years, and Erik provided a top notch experience. His demeanor is calm and respectful, and helped me get clear on my needs for the session. He handled the transition to the massage table professionally, and gave the full booked time of massage, even though we took 10" to do the initial appointment paperwork and conversation. His massage style was rigorous, just like I requested, though he backed off immediately when he sensed a lot of tension or when I commented. He addresses both the physical and the body energy aspects, and I felt both relaxed and energized after the session, unlike some previous massages where I felt like a wet noodle afterwards. He gave some helpful feedback and advice at the end of the session, as well. Overall, a 5 star experience, I have to say.

Pros: Great massage, professional and knowledgeable process

Cons: Room was a bit cool for my liking.
