I recently moved away from MA and truly miss going to the best salon out there. My husband and I both went to Jess...she truly is the perfectionist and always get it right. Cutting hair is definitely an art and it takes someone with real talent, that is where Jess comes in. I cannot say enough about her and this place. The prices are just right, I personally think it's a steal for the quality and service you get but who's complaining.

Pros: Amazing hair stylists (especially Jess), Prices are insanely reasonable and Just a great salon

Cons: They are not in San Diego =(

I highly recommend the salon and specifically, Melissa. I recently moved to the area and had neglected my hair for some time. After a horrible experience in a salon in Newton (Sylvestre Franc) I came to Melissa for a cut. She gave me a wonderful cut and is super nice! I loved the job she did so much, I booked my next appointment before I even left the salon!

In the past 7 years I have not used the same hairdresser twice until now! Thank you Melissa for giving me a cut and COLOR that I love. I work with a woman who never has a 'bad hair day' and finally asked her "who does your hair". She told me Melissa Macdonald at Fringe Salon. So I gave her a shot. Melissa has now cut, styled and colored my hair twice and I will be back for a third and more. She does great work!! She is patient in working with you to come up with a style that best suits you. I absolutely love the color we chose and can't wait to see what we do next! Thanks again Melissa!!! See you soon!!! Lisa , Very Satisfied customer!!! :)

Had my hair done today by a wonderful, talented young woman, Melissa. Melissa is confident and really made me feel at ease in choosing my hair color. My cut and color came out great! I would definitely recommend going to Salon Fringe and making an appointment with Melissa. She really knows how to make you look and feel beautiful!! Thanks.

I went to this salon after realizing that they were a Newbury St salon that is now tucked away in Reading Center. What a find! I also knew that Jess was exceptional with shorter hair styles. She has given me the haircut I never thought I could wear before with layers that I didn't think I could keep this long...and I can go 8 weeks before my next cut (which is unheard of for me) because it's so well shaped. Very fun salon with a warm, friendly staff. It's always a treat to go in there. Don't miss out on Jess...she's one in a milion and I've had my fair share of hairstylist hopping. Trust me on this one.

This is my first message so excuse me if I'm not that great of a message posterer. Salon Fringe is the best salon i have ever been to. It is a clean, kind, and family friendly place to get your hair and nails done. Gary Hickey is a lovable person who is known as Gary "Magic Hands" Hickey. He is a very sociable hair stylist who is great with kids and is the best at hair coloring. Jess Pulgia is one of the funniest, kindest people I have ever met and does a fantastic job on hair especially if you are get layers. Holly has the most gentle touch when it comes to nails from your fingers to your toes. Plus the polish stays on for weeks! Overall, Salon Fringe is top notch... whatever that means. Well you get my point. Hope you veiwers enjoyed my review so ta ta for now!

i went in for a cut, not expecting much, but Candice talked with me and we discussed what was wrong with my hair and why i was unhappy!!! Well...she was on the money with everything she told me and she did an absolutely wonderful long layered cut on me!!!! She also gave me a great shampoo, massaging my temples and everything!! So, if your looking for a great cut, along with a great personality....... Candice is the "GO TO" girl at Fringe :)

Pros: everything!!!!! cappucino she made was sooooo good!!!

jessica has been doing my hair for many years now. i had been elsewhere and didn't realize i had only been scratching the surface as to how amazing my hair could look and how manageable it could be. prior to seeing her, there were days i would wake up convinced my hair was suicidal. she has always taken the time to listen and consider. she incorporates my lifestyle-my hair's texture and tendencies, my style and what i have for time. she offers recommendations without pressure. her work intertwines attention to detail with a true passion for what she does. i receive endless compliments on my hair on a regular basis, long after i've left the stylist's chair. there is something to be said for that. she is warm and genuinely personable-something that tends to be very rare within this industry. she takes the time. jessica is truly the best of the best.

Pros: clean, modern and stylish with a very comfortable atmoshere, parking, very reasonable prices

I love this new salon! I took a chance at trying a new stylist due to the fact that I was simply bored with the run of the mill hairdressers in my area. Candice exceeded all my expectations with her brilliant foiling and haircutting skills! my previously dull ashy blonde hair is now GLAMOROUS, vibrant, and full of life! She kept my locks long while still taking off the right amount to make it feel healthy. Also, she is so funny. Candice made me feel comfortable and made me laugh and gave me the best haircut/color EVER. I have already booked my next appt. and I am bringing in my friends too.

A few weeks ago I visited this salon with a very good (picky) girlfriend of myne. She was going on and on about her horror stories with other salons and that she had just about had it! She had made an appointment with a stylist named Jessica so we hoped for the best! We were greeted so warmly and dignified - unlike many of the stuffy salons that some of my friends work at downtown. The decor was beautiful and pristine. As we waited, we relaxed and enjoyed an espresso that was given to us - very nice. When my friend emerged from the cutting chair I have never seen her look more georgeous!!! So, thank you Fringe, thank you Jessica - I do not have to listen to her complain anymore!! Best of luck
